Ramsay Bowden is a clinical geneticist based in Cambridge, UK. Alongside her primary appointment in the East Anglian Medical Genetics Service, she serves as Clinical Genetics Consultant to the UK National Adult Ataxia Telangiectasia Service.
Ataxia Telangiectasia is a multi-system DNA repair disorder. The condition usually presents with neurological symptoms, but patients face many other complications, notably a high risk of both haematological and solid malignancies. This webinar will review cancer risks in Ataxia Telangiectasia, discuss opportunities for cancer surveillance and address the challenges of treating cancer in patients who are hypersensitive to DNA damage.
