Dr. Chrystelle Colas is a medical geneticist specialized in cancer predisposition. She leads the Clinical Unit of the Genetics Department at Institut Curie and holds a Ph.D. in cancer genetics. Her research focuses on hereditary cancer syndromes related to DNA repair deficiencies. Dr. Colas is a board member of the French network Groupe Génétique et Cancer and of the European Reference Network ERN GENTURIS.
Anaïs Le Ven is a genetic counsellor and Ph.D. student at Institut Curie under the supervision of Dr. Chrystelle Colas. Her research focuses on genetic predisposition to uveal melanoma, bridging clinical and research perspectives. One of her main areas of interest concerns the MBD4 gene and its role in cancer predisposition, including beyond uveal melanoma.
This webinar will explore the role of the MBD4 gene in cancer predisposition in both dominant and recessive settings, with particular emphasis on the associated tumor spectrum and therapeutic implications.
